  • What time are check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is 4:00 p.m.; check-out is 11:00 a.m. Office hours are 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; call or text anytime.
  • How many guests can a Tipi sleep, and what’s inside?

    Each Tipi sleeps up to 6 and includes A/C and heat, a kitchenette with essentials, a coded lock, and a private bathroom located nearby (not inside the Tipi).
  • Are the bathrooms private or shared?

    Each Tipi has a designated private bathroom located nearby your cabin.

  • Is there a kitchen? What should we bring?

    Each Tipi includes a kitchenette with essentials for simple meal prep. Bring your preferred ingredients and any specialty cookware.
  • Does the Tipi have a refrigerator?

    A dorm-sized fridge is provided in each cabin. Guests may want to bring a cooler for additional cold storage.

  • Is there a microwave in the cabin?

    No, our wiring does not permit microwaves, but we do provide a community microwave in front of our camp store that guests are welcome to use during their stay.

  • Is Wi‑Fi or Smart TV available?

    Wi‑Fi and a Smart TV are provided in each cabin, you may log in to your own apps.

  • How close is the river, and is access private?

    The property has private river frontage shared by all guests; it’s approximately a 100‑yard walk via the on‑site trail.

  • Can we go tubing from the property?

    Yes. There is a short, relaxing “happy hour” float from the Tipi riverfront to the owner’s nearby River Road Escapes location; longer floats can be booked with our affiliate outfitters.

  • Do you rent kayaks on‑site?

    Yes. Daily kayak rentals (single and tandem) are first‑come, first‑served, and shuttling is not provided. All is self-serve and easy to enjoy!

  • Is fishing allowed? Do we need a license?

    Yes. You can fish from the property’s river frontage. A Texas fishing license is required for ages 17+, and this is a trophy, catch‑and‑release stretch of the Upper Guadalupe. We can also recommend fishing guides.

  • What family‑friendly activities are on site?

    Guests can enjoy ping‑pong, cornhole, tetherball, volleyball, a grassy play area, birdwatching, trail walking, and excellent stargazing. Or bring your own games for enjoyment.

  • How do I reach Management if I need help?

    Call or text the office during posted hours; messages are monitored and you can phone or text anytime at 830-302-8800.

  • Is there parking—and can I bring a boat or trailer?

    Each cabin offers 1-2 parking spaces for free.  Overflow parking and boat or trailer parking is available  on site for an additional fee; please inquire when booking.

  • Are pets allowed? Is smoking permitted?

    Pets are not allowed.  Smoking only in designated areas and no smoking permitted in any structures.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Our cancellation fee is 3% of the booking payment, but we offer postponing for full credit one time per booking.

  • Are linens and towels included?

    Yes! We provide fluffy towels and cozy sheets for your stay, but please do not remove any of these from the cabins or bathrooms.  You must bring your own towels to take to the river.

  • Do you supply firewood for the pits?

    No, but we do sell firewood kits on site that include wood, matches, starter and rainbow fire.  We also sell s'mores kits for your convenience!

  • Can I rent multiple cabins?

    Yes! We love hosting large groups or family or friends who want to enjoy the Tipis together.  Just give us a call and we can help you plan the perfect getaway?

  • Are you open year-round?

    Yes, the Tipis on the Guadalupe are a perfect glamping location all year long.  A two night weekend or weekday stay is perfect!

  • How close are you to Gruene?

    Only a 25 minute drive to Historic Gruene Dance Hall down a scenic and beautiful River Road.  This is a perfect location to enjoy all that Gruene and New Braunfels have to offer!

  • How close are you to Whitewater Amphitheater?

    Only a 5 minute drive to Whitewater Amphitheater, making this the ideal location to stay if you want to enjoy some Texas music!

  • How close are you to Canyon Lake?

    Only 2 miles down the road is Canyon Lake and the Overlook Park where you can enjoy a scenic walk.  The marina where you can rent watercrafts is about a 15 minute drive!

  • Do you have other rentals available?

    Yes!  We have many options to choose from for couples looking for a quick, romantic getaway to large family reunions who want to all stay together on one property.  Contact us with your ideas and we will help turn them into reality!
